Radical Honesty Unfinished holds contrasting colours together without resolving their tension. Yellow, green and warm earth tones create a restless field in which no single passage settles into complete dominance.
Intersecting marks and patches of colour interrupt one another across the surface. Denser areas meet more open passages, allowing several directions of movement to coexist. The sense of incompletion suggested by the title becomes a way of reading these unresolved relationships.
Across a room, the painting is encountered through its breadth and chromatic energy. At closer range, overlapping marks, shifts in density and tonal variation reveal a more complex rhythm within what initially appears to be a continuous field.

The artwork contains a varied range of yellow, green, warm earth tones and more neutral passages. Their relationships shift according to the quality, temperature and direction of the light.
Under diffused natural daylight, differences between the warmer and cooler areas become more distinct and the transitions between overlapping marks are easier to perceive. Under warm artificial light, earth tones gain greater density and some green passages become more subdued. Directional or lateral light reveals surface interruptions, layering, changes in material density and subtle variations in reflectivity.
Digital photography cannot reproduce the full chromatic range and material complexity of the original work.
